Why We No Longer Use Godaddy

I used to be a loyal Godaddy customer. I would recommend them to all my clients. I didn’t care that I was never compensated, I truly felt they had the best service around. That all changed last year. I went to their homepage and realized I was sick and tired of having to see half naked women while trying to purchase a domain name or simply work with my account.

Goodbye Godaddy, Hello Namecheap!

So I gave Namecheap.com a good college try. After over a year of working with Namecheap as the registrar for all of my domains I can say that it has been a great experience. Their prices are competitive, their control panel is every bit as good (I’d say its now at least as fast as Godaddy’s was), and I don’t have to explain to my six year old what the heck he just saw because Dad was trying to buy a domain. Priceless!

They are running a great promotion right now that allows you to transfer all your domains over for just $6.95. Show Godaddy their marketing has crossed the line by voting with your $$$ - most companies care about that.
